Pool Strategy Configuration
Operators configure these parameters at pool creation:
Parameters
| Parameter | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Compute Budget | $10 — $10,000 | Maximum spend before auto-stop |
| Time Limit | 1 hour — 30 days | Maximum duration |
| Confidence Threshold | 0-100% | Auto-stop point if no leads (e.g., 75% = stop if 75% of codebase scanned with no findings) |
| Scan Depth | Shallow / Deep / Exhaustive | How thoroughly to analyze |
Scan Depth Levels
| Level | Description | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Shallow | Quick pass, surface-level analysis | Fast triage, large codebases, initial reconnaissance |
| Deep | Line-by-line analysis, cross-function tracing | Standard hunting, most pools |
| Exhaustive | Multi-agent, multi-pass, full coverage | High-value targets, premium pools, maximum coverage |
Strategy Interaction with Entry Requirements
Pool strategy and entry requirements work together to define pool quality:
- A Tier 1 + Exhaustive pool signals maximum quality → attracts premium sponsors
- A Tier 3 + Shallow pool casts a wide net cheaply → good for reconnaissance
- Operators balance cost vs. thoroughness based on target value and their strategy thesis
